BEAN FEST 2006 : Gallery
One of Mountain View's many annual festivals is Bean Fest, drawing over 30,000 people to the town. Here are pictures from Bean Fest 2006. Bean Fest activities include a bean and cornbread cook-off with meal following, outhouse races, musicians gathered on the "Square" and at the court house, craft shows, and much more. Music can be found just about every night of the week during the season on Mountain View's downtown courtsquare. Sit and listen, or stroll between impromptu gatherings of musicians with banjos, dulcimers, guitars, fiddles and other acoustic instruments, playing traditional hill music, folk music and the occasional bluegrass or gospel.
